Statement from Deputy Luce | Grouville Affordable & Retirement Homes

Mar 11, 2022

At the conclusion of a very well attended meeting in Grouville last night (10 March 2022) there was an overwhelming vote by those present against the proposed building of affordable houses and retirement homes in that parish.

Consequently I have decided to withdraw the two amendments to the Draft Bridging Island Plan which I have lodged for debate next week.

I have informed the Constable of Grouville, The Environment Minister, and the Greffier of the States, of my decision.

Deputy Steve Luce

Agriculture, an industry forgotten by this Alliance led government

It is with sadness, frustration and anger that we have learnt the news that Jersey’s largest independent, and family run, farm is to cease growing flowers and (most importantly for local consumers) vegetables. Despite being warned by farmers and politicians alike,...

Fact Busting: The Planning Inspector did not reject, in its entirety, the Gloucester Street site of the hospital.
