Statement from Deputy Luce | Grouville Affordable & Retirement Homes

At the conclusion of a very well attended meeting in Grouville last night (10 March 2022) there was an overwhelming vote by those present against the proposed building of affordable houses and retirement homes in that parish.

Grouville parishioners obviously feel very strongly about this issue, and I respect their views.

Consequently I have decided to withdraw the two amendments to the Draft Bridging Island Plan which I have lodged for debate next week.

I have informed the Constable of Grouville, The Environment Minister, and the Greffier of the States, of my decision.
